Abstract :
Dissipative networks as equivalent electrical networks for strictly positive real transfer functions are studied in this note. There are some different deductions in the control theory literature related to this concept. After discussing about these statements, we develop a new sufficient frequency domain condition for checking strict positive realness which can be useful to fast identification of strictly positive real transfer functions.
