Abstract :
In this paper, the design and development of broadband, helical elements dipole antenna is presented. It offers higher gain compared to its conventional tubular elements counterpart of same physical dimensions. Both types of the dipole antennas, one with tubular elements and other with helical elements were constructed. These antennas were compared for their electrical parameters in the frequency band of 20-500 MHz. The detailed measured results are presented.
