Abstract :
Electric machines, power electronic circuits and other electromechanical systems are utilized in many components in aircrafts. Electric power generation is also very important in Aerospace and Air Force projects. Setting up a remote power systems on temporary air bases or space craft and space stations are two examples of power generation systems. Electrical, Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering graduates are often hired to work in power companies and other industries were their knowledge of electromechanical devices is very important. The need for power engineers who are hired to work in utility companies has also been growing in recent years and is expected to grow even more in the next five to ten years. This is due to the fact that many power engineering professionals are from the baby boomer generation and are starting to retire.
