Abstract :
Uncertain and time-variable dynamics calls for self-tuning capacity in superheaters temperature control systems. However, the application of self-tuning control strategies to cascade control configuration is subject to severe drawbacks because usual cascade controllers are not robust against final control variable saturation. The paper develops and analyses a new self-tuning cascade control concept which is integrally robust against saturation. The performance of the control is shown with reference to a large power-unit
