Abstract :
In this report, a new mouse model of Eperythrozoon infection was established to confirm inter-species infection, and the haematological and immunologic characteristics were studied. The infection was confirmed in mouse by traditional diagnosis combined with PCR and transmission electron microscope (EM) detection. Haematological data including total red cell count, erythrocrit, haemoglobin levels, and total white cell, lymphocyte and neutrophil counts were obtained. Lymphocyte transformation tests and rosette formation assays were performed to evaluate the immune function of infected mice. The results showed that total red cell count, erythrocrit and haemoglobin levels were remarkably lower in experimental group, and the rosette formation rate of red blood cell immune complexes were remarkably increased in experimental group.
