Abstract
A novel high gain circularly polarized (CP) patch antenna with a simple feed structure was developed. The CP antenna employs a circular patch with a slot and two stubs. A feed aperture was located on a ground plate at a 45/spl deg/ to the microstrip feed line. The antenna consists of three layers including a feed structure, a foam layer and a radiation patch. The measured results show that CP gain of the antenna is 10.28 dBi with 7.2% 3 dB axial ratio bandwidth.
