Abstract :
The magnetic field produced by transmission lines may disturb sensitive electronic equipment in the vicinity. For a given tower configuration the power flow condition of the line determines the magnitude of the emitted magnetic fields. The influence of load, phase angle and direction of the flows on the combined magnetic field of multi-circuit lines is discussed systematically. Besides optimal arrangement of the phase conductors, emphasis is given to the grouping of the phase conductors to circuits. Examples of existing power lines and projects show practical applications
