Abstract :
The use of acousto-optic (AO) signal processing systems in real-time signal convolution and correlation has increased dramatically during the past decade because of improvements in device characteristics and implementation techniques. Whereas, correlating speak extraction in acousto-optic signal processing systems has been still a challenge by reason of the background noise and inhomogeneous spatial distribution by acoustic nonlinearities in Bragg cell which produce acoustic power depletion and the generation of intermodulation products. By means of the research of the intensity spatial distribution, the effective compensation was performed to unwanted characteristics in Bragg cells that degrade the performance of acousto-optic signal processing systems. The method of wavelet and multiscale models has been applied to improving the correlating speak image of acousto-optic devices simultaneously.
