Abstract
This paper outlines the required measurements for making the calculations of the clearance of conductors to buildings to determine compliance with the National Electrical Safety Code (NESC). It may be used also for other structures or limiting conditions and/or for loading conditions other than specified in the NESC. It suggests a format for presenting the input data and output computed values. Included along with the applicable equations is a sample calculation and a discussion of some problems associated with making measurements for the input data
