Message from the Program Chairs

SERA 2006 features excellent theoretical and practical contributions in the areas of formal methods and tools, requirements engineering, software process models, communication systems and networks, software quality and evaluation, software engineering, networks and mobile computing, parallel/distributed computing, component-based software development, artificial intelligence and applications, software testing, reuse and metrics, database retrieval, computer security, software architectures and modeling. We received 139 papers from the scientific community in 18 different countries all over the world. Each paper was reviewed by three members of the International Program Committee and additional reviewers. A large number of the papers were high-quality submissions. After the completion of the peer review process, 60 papers were selected for presentation at the conference which gives an acceptance rate of around 43%.
