Abstract :
Identifying the type and estimating the effect of genes controlling the quantitative trait is very useful to animal selection, breed and livestock production. In traditional quantitative genetics, the gene effect causing the variation of quantitative trait is researched as a whole body. The molecular marker technique provided an approach to analysis the gene characteristic of single gene. For avoiding the QTL mapping, the molecular marker regression was used to research the quantitative trait controlled by polygene. The result shows, there is a mathematical relation between gene´s relative effect and molecular marker genotype, the mathematical equation could probably be used to the fields of animal breeding, selection, production and predict the affinity and combining ability of animals, etc.
