Abstract :
The current ISDN trial at McDonald´s is the culmination of a teamwork effort amongst AT&T, Illinois Bell Telephone (IBT), McDonald´s, and several suppliers of customer premise equipment. McDonald´s selected an ISDN solution because ISDN provided an architectural blueprint on which the corporation could base its long-term strategic telecommunications direction. The author highlights and summarizes: McDonald´s ISDN trial experiences; McDonald´s future ISDN plans; and McDonald´s perspective on issues facing the ISDN industry
