Abstract
A sub-terahertz gyrotron, employed with a compact cryogen-free magnet, is developed to be used as an illumination source of the active T-ray imaging system for food inspection in real time. Details of the gyrotron development, as well as some preliminary results of real-time T-ray imaging of foreign bodies hidden in food, will be presented.
