Abstract :
Electric energy saving during potato storage on a commercial scale is a very important technical and economical problem. In order to achieve the energy saving a new potato ventilating system with the use of weather forecast and mathematical process model is proposed. Numerous real experiments and simulation results showed that a key problem is the choice of the parameter which determine the compromise between the quality of the temperature control of potatoes and the electric energy consumption needed to ventilate the potatoes. For the choice of the mentioned parameter a fuzzy logic approach is used
