Abstract
A vector sensor is composed of three electric dipoles and three magnetic loops, measuring the full six components of electric field and magnetic field at one point in the space. The vector sensor placed in a distributed way is presented in this paper. For low grazing angle, adopting cross product added with MUSIC, a reduced distributed vector sensor formed of two magnetic loops fixed far apart can give out the exact azimuth of arrival without ambiguity. Compared to a conventional scalar array, the cross product can choose the right estimation of MUSIC, suppressing the ambiguity caused by the large inter element spacing.
