Abstract :
The concept of green and clean energy sources is the major concern for the researchers in the field of renewable and sustainable energy. Fuel cells are considered to be a promising source of electrical power but the stability of the output voltage is a question yet to be answered. In this paper a fuel cell generation model is shown as well as two stability control schemes (DVR and D-STATCOM) have been implemented in the time domain simulation of MATLAB/ SIMULINK. The comparison of these two schemes is also given for the analysis of the feasibility of the better scheme. The control schemes are analyzed mathematically and simulation is done to determine the stability of the system. A comprehensive analysis of harmonic characteristics is also shown for both the control schemes.
