Abstract :
When the power system becomes more complicated, it is useful to have a. simulation tool with the capability to perform transient analysis of the power system. Since the generator is the source to a power system, which is the core of the transient stability study, a generator model is presented in this paper. Afterwards, the defined model is implemented by using a Matlab/Simulink commercial mathematical software platform. To illustrate the functions of the implemented program, an example with simulation results is presented finally.
