Abstract :
Transporting hybrid coded video over the wireless channel is very challenging due to time-varying channel conditions and the vulnerable nature of hybrid coded video for packet loss. We introduce a novel rapid error recovery algorithm to achieve high efficiency and low delay performance. The video proxy server at the base station is designed to enhance the performance of our error recovery algorithm. State-of-the-art H.264 is used as source encoder. Simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of this architecture.
