  • Abstract
"Polluted water cluster" was observed near the water source area of Gonghu water work in Gonghu, Taihu Lake on 28th May, 2007. Some of the possible factors causing polluted water cluster, such as wind, rainfall, temperature and bottom mud releasing, are analyzed at first. Then, a two-dimensional hydrodynamic model based on Delft3D-FLOW is adopted to simulate the wind-driven current under the real wind condition during 28th May to 1st July. Finally, the evolution process of polluted water cluster (from appearance to disappearance) in Gonghu is simulated under real wind, rainfall and water transfer measure conditions.
