Abstract :
A differential Global Positioning System (DGPS), currently under development by the Aerospace Laboratories of the University of Bologna, is a highly accurate and reliable positioning system that provides differential correction information (DGPS) to augment satellite navigation systems (e.g., GPS, Galileo). The paper characterizes the accuracy of the whole ground station, that is, the error budget of the computed corrections of the three GPS receivers. The accuracy evaluation is performed by an analysis of experimental data together with ray-tracing simulations in order to estimate the multipath error.
