Abstract :
Polymer composite, compared with conventional single-phase insulation, can have improved dielectric properties. The field dependent permittivity of ferroelectric materials makes them an ideal filler for the composite system. The A.C. properties of lead zirconate titanate (PZT) filled polyester has been studied experimentally in this paper. Depending on the filler´s concentration, the dielectric constant increases by a factor of two while the electrical field goes up from 0 to 5 kV/mm. Fast Fourier analysis also reveals the electrical field dependent permittivity in the frequency domain
