Abstract
Inter-comparison of EMI antenna calibration was conducted among 9 competent organizations in Japan for the frequency range of 30 to 1000 MHz in 2008. The p articipating organizations were NIST, AIST (NMI Japan), commercial testing laboratories and manufacturers. Among them, three types of EMI measurement antennas (tune dipole antenna, biconical antenna, and LPDA) were circulated for antenna calibration. It is found that the antenna factors determined by the participating organizations fall within a range of a standard deviation about ±0.5 dB around the results of AIST and the maximum of the expanded uncertainty (k=2) reaches 1.3 dB for the calibration of a dipole antenna.
