Abstract :
This paper describes a new algorithm based on equivalent circuit models for simulation of dispersive transmission lines in the presence of electromagnetic interference. The finite-difference time-domain method is employed to solve the differential equations derived from the equivalent circuit models. No convolution computation is needed in this algorithm. The generalized two-port equation model of transmission lines contributes to the convenience of dealing with arbitrary networks. The validity and accuracy of the proposed method are illustrated by a numerical example.
