Abstract
The control of a modeled new concept gearless Orbital Infinitely Variable Transmission (OIVT) is presented. The concept and the mathematical model were used in order to apply a PID controller and explore the behavior of the closed loop system. The desired trajectory is needed and implemented in order to achieve the control goal. The results shown good performance in different conditions of load and direction and new questions arise in order to analyze further investigations for laboratory applications.
