  • Abstract
This paper introduces a fully soft switched boost converter powered from a solar panel. The new converter topology adds an auxiliary network to the conventional boost converter. This network includes one inductor, one capacitor, one diode and one switch. In this converter, the turned on and turned off process of all the switches are either at zero current or at zero voltage. A Maximum Power Point Tracking algorithm is used to control this converter. By using this algorithm the ineffectiveness of solar panel during partially shaded conditions can be eliminated. This paper uses Incremental Conductance Maximum Power Point Tacking algorithm.
