  • Abstract
Vulnerability is the property that system is easy to be destroyed, at same time the system is difficulty to restore its original structure and function after certain external disturbances. The deficiencies of vulnerability study at present have been pointed out. A quantitative vulnerability assessment index system was brought forward. The integrated analysis method was adopted to calculate index weight. The vulnerability degrees of water resources system to Shanxi Province´s 11 areas were calculated by integrated analyses. The assessment results demonstrate that the vulnerability degrees of water resources system in Shanxi Province are high commonly in 2004, 81.8%´s area belongs to serious vulnerability area, 18.2%´s area belongs to middle vulnerability area. Besides, vulnerability degree of water resources spatially increases from east to west and south to north in Shanxi Province. The conclusions are consistent with the spatial distribution rule of Shanxi Province´s precipitation.
