Abstract :
The Electronic Industries Association (EIA) is completing its consumer electronics bus (CEBus) standard to establish a common communication network through which any consumer electronics devices may exchange control information and data. The authors present some of the unique problems and solutions encountered by the committee in designing the CEBus protocol.<>
