Abstract
The system evolution in the monitor field leads to the development of suitable ICs with performances and characteristics which are mainly monitor oriented rather than TV oriented. The automatic frequency raster preset of the monitors in computerised and optical equipment leads to the adoption of digital to analog converters in order to set the different parameters, and consequently all the regulations must be DC compatible. High scanning frequency and low jitter are additional factors that characterize the quality and the resolution of the monitors. New circuit solutions on silicon, concerning the monitor field, are described. In a single IC, the use of TTL compatible synchro pulses, horizontal and vertical processing functions and vertical ramp generation are implemented.<>
