  • Abstract
A new approach to real-time monitoring of bearing operational conditions has been developed. An effective approach is to measure the real-time load and temperature fluctuations inside the bearing environment against any potential danger of overloading and/or overheating. The design, testing and implementation of the measuring electronics are presented, which forms the key part of the development of sensor-integrated smart bearings. Laboratory experiments illustrate the feasibility of the developed circuitry and verify that high fidelity wireless data transmission can be obtained using this method
