Abstract :
The authors present methods for removal of impulsive noise from measurement data. The first method is the well known median filter which can be used in conjunction with linear filters for filtering of measurement data such as oil and gas well pressure testing data. The other method discussed can be used in cases where minimal distortion is required due to small amounts of desired signals embedded in noise
