Abstract
We have designed and fabricated an OPLEAF (OPtical LEAd Frame) that serves as the interface between optical fibers and a high density optical IC. The OPLEAF is a micromachined structure for converting an optical fiber array pitch from 250 mum to 30 mum and aligning thinned fibers to the optical IC
