Abstract
In this paper, we will present approaches for light harvesting for enhancing the performance of polymer solar cells. We have employed indium tin oxide (ITO) as an optical spacer in inverted structures. We have found that the optical interference effect led to spatial redistribution of the optical field in the devices, resulting in favorable distribution of photogenerated excitons. Therefore, the introduction of the ITO optical spacer at an appropriate thickness increased the short-circuit current density and the overall power conversion efficiency.
