Abstract :
In this paper we report the preliminary results of a short-term study on degradation due to internal PD in LDPE at 77 K. An attempt is made to understand the partial discharge mechanisms in polymers containing a void at room and cryogenic temperatures by comparing the time evolution of PD patterns
