Abstract :
This paper presents some issues that are important in selecting an RF prediction tool. It also presents models that are commonly used in the cellular, microcellular and PCS cell design, The effect of terrain database inaccuracies on predicted RF signal levels is also-addressed. RF signal level measurements for a suburban area are compared to, those predicted on the basis of Hata´s (1980) and COST231-Hata models
