Abstract :
Endgame is a challenging topic in computer Chinese chess. In order to enhance the computer´s strength in endgame, some techniques are put forward, e.g. endgame knowledge base and endgame database. This article introduces an inference machine based on endgame knowledge base, and discuss its operating principle even the effectiveness to the play strength. The method is originated from NEUCHESS program, which had won three world championships and reaches the level of human Chinese chess grand master level. Facts prove that the technique is advanced and efficient.
