Abstract :
This paper studies the problem of H∞ filter design for fuzzy systems. By constructing a new type of fuzzy H∞ filter, a novel H∞ design approach is developed. The approach is facilitated by introducing some slack matrix variables. These matrix variables decouple the Lyapunov matrix and the system matrices, which makes the H∞ design feasible. The proposed approach leads to a sufficient condition in the form of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). A numerical example is given to illustrate our method.
