Abstract :
An advanced technology, double poles electro-Fenton system was used to treat oil pollution from water. Effects of electricity density, pH value and initial oil concentration were studied to test and to validate the kinetic model for the oxidation of oil pollution by the electro-Fenton process. The degradation of oil was a simulated second order reaction, and the degradation efficiency of oil was decreased with the increase of pH from 2.5 to 7.0, while increased with the increase of current density from 5 to 25 mA/cm2. The results showed that at experimental condition, the double poles electro-Fenton system had high removal efficiency for oil pollution from water.
