Abstract :
Polysaccharide is the main component of the flocculation activated substances produced by bioflocculant-producing bacterium F6. It could be extracted from the supernatant of the fermented medium by cold acetone precipitation and purified by treating with Sevag reagent. The result showed that the optimum extracting conditions were that concentrating multiple is 1/3, acetone consistency is 100%, acetone quantity is 1:2, precipitating time is 2 h, and pH is 7; the optimum purifying conditions were that Vsample:Vsevag is 2:3, Vchloroform:Vbutanol is 4:1, purifying time is 30 min. After the preliminary extraction and purification, flocculating activity reached 98.89%.
