Abstract
Quantitative evaluation of correlation between cobble structure and linear defect density was investigated. The linear defect means dislocation and etch channel in this report. Rough estimation of linear defect density is obtained by measuring peaked large cobble density. The possibility of non-destructive evaluation of linear defect density in synthetic quartz crystals is discussed
