Abstract
The PowerPoint presentation presents the telecommunication market evolution in Mexico. The author concludes that pure long-distance play is unsustainable with service provider players becoming increasingly data-centric to capitalize on the growing Internet and data market. One-stop shopping and managed services strategies will represent an important challenge and a value-added opportunity to reduce churn and increase ARPU for traditional voice-oriented service providers and system integrators for adding value and maintaining competitiveness around quality of service (QoS) and service level agreements (SLA) product offerings. The core aspect of service convergence will be content development transmission. Competition promotion in this field is critical, so promotion of investment for content developers in areas such as radio, TV and Internet will be key for success.
