Abstract :
To perform the simulations of network intrusions which give the information on the consequences of the network being affected, the network modeling for an actual network architecture and the property of its sub systems should be reflected to the simulation framework. In this paper, we propose and implement an intrusion detection system (IDS) based on SSFNet simulation framework. IDS is one of core elements in the cyber intrusions. Proposed IDS system has a rule-based type with misuse detect. Performing various types of simulations for network intrusions, the implemented IDS on the simulation shows that it plays the same property as that of actual networks.
