Abstract
An approach which aims at increasing the efficiency of tree search using heuristic and relaxation techniques is presented. To increase the efficiency, a structural description for 3D object representation is proposed. Algorithms based on the proposed model for object recognition are developed, and the performance of the algorithms is compared with that of previous algorithms
