Abstract :
Active/semi-active suspension systems are getting widely accepted for their potential to improve ride comfort of passenger cars with respect to traditional suspension systems. A feedback controller has been designed allowing to control separately the vehicle body motions of heave, pitch and roll taking into account the dynamics of the active/semi-active actuator. Simulations results stated that significant improvements of ride comfort can be achieved respect to passive shock absorbers.
