Abstract :
A decorrelating detector for noncoherent CDMA using M-ary orthogonal signals is proposed and analyzed. Closed-form expressions for the symbol and bit error probability, as well as for the asymptotic multiuser efficiency are derived. Furthermore, the detector is shown to be near-far resistant, with a bit error performance for each user that is independent of the energies of the interfering users. Numerical examples are provided to contrast the performance of the decorrelating detector with previous detectors for the same signalling scheme
