Abstract :
In recent years, the number of traffic accidents has rapidly increased. There are various reasons for this, but as one of the most common one is the carelessness of the driver. Therefore, we aim to decrease the number of traffic accidents by automatically recognizing the road signs and informing the driver accordingly. In the proposed method, at first, we use the edge information and after transform it, we can extract the target road area. The road marking candidate is then extracted and recognized using a neural network.
