Abstract
Describes the development of a microcomputer-controlled laboratory station known as ACLS (Automated Control Laboratory Station). It is a flexible experimental station with a friendly online user interface and a graphical oriented environment for analysis, testing and simulation of physical systems. It provides an environment for training students in real-time laboratory exercises and the facility for implementation and testing of control algorithms online. It incorporates features that was intended to make laboratory teaching more attractive and to introduce students to practical aspects of control systems analysis and design
