Abstract :
Analyzing Characteristics and change trend of consumption structure, that will grasp changes in laws and trends of resident consumption, so it is of great theoretical and practical significance. In this study, we use consumption situation of rural residents in Jilin Province as the research object state and establish the demand function model of Expend Linear Expenditure System (ELES) to analyze marginal consumption propensity and basic demands expenditure. By analyzing, we found that more income of rural residents in Jilin Province was spent on food, transportation and communication, culture, education, entertainment, and health care. Rural residents in the basic needs of food and living expenses are much higher than that of urban residents in Jilin Province. The rural residents in the basic needs of transportation and communication expenditure is far higher than rural residents in Jilin Province. Education, culture and entertainment services expenditure of rural residents in Jilin Province is much higher than the national average.
