  • Abstract
    Virtualization of wireless communication systems (VWCS) is a new technology in third generation wireless communication systems. In this paper we give our new ideas on VWCS. We focus on how to virtualize the personnel communication systems. We divide the base station into four components according to their functions: antenna, IF, baseband, and control, and connect them by the ATM network. This will bring great benefits such as fast handover, easily realization of diversity, etc
