Abstract :
Study shows type 2 diabetes is a genetic disease and evidence of a statistical interaction among several SNPs has been reported. Gene-gene interaction analysis has been used to identify common disease susceptibility genes. This paper explores the application of Apriori-Gen algorithm on the association study among SNPs. The algorithm has been applied to SNP data of type 2 diabetes for association study. The result shows the interaction among 5 SNPs with support s of 50% and confidence alpha of 60%. The risk rate RR and odds ratio OR are 2.14 and 2.92, respectively. The experiment results indicate that the interaction among those SNPs is associated with the disease.
