  • Abstract
A 1-D model for photon recycling which has been incorporated into a solar cell simulation code term in the current continuity equations is described. The behavior of both the recycling generation rate and of a lifetime multiplication factor as a function of position and device operation point is examined, along with an estimate of the effect of photon recycling on overall cell efficiency
